Setup

Here you see the compressor with the yellow flex line going up to an air drying filter. The fan on the ground is used to blow air over the compressor and cool it down, helping ensure longevity and help in condensation removal from the compressed air.

Auto Drain Valve

Here is the automatic drain valve. It comes with a plastic hose, brass tee, and brass nipple for the hose line. You can throw all that away.

Closing In

Here is what I use to remove the material I grind off. I've set up my vacuum (now on an independent 110v line to prevent popping the garage circuit breaker) so that the nozzle is placed over the valve intake/exhaust ports. This makes for a very clean operation!

The Workbench

Mini die grinder, glasses, filter mask, vacuum hose, dremel, and head. It all comes together for head modification work. And the process is very Zen. As long as you're not worried about destorying a head (and I have several, so I'm not terribly worried), it's actually relaxing to grind away, knowing I'm helping my engine get more power.

The Product

Here are my modified chambers. It's not the ideal shape, due to an early-on screw-up, but I'll compare it to the next head I grind (which will be to spec!). It should be interesting and fun to see how much of a difference there is.

Deck Shape

This shot shows the shape of the chamber at the deck better.

The Setup

Here is the oven, disassembled for cleaning. The wheels below the oven will be one of my first projects in powdercoating. The Fiesta brakes to the right of them should follow closely.

Oven Chamber

It may not look that clean, but this is WAY cleaner than what I started with! The squirrel cage moves air in the oven so that I don't get any hot-spots and possibly burn the powder coating.

Racks

These were choked with carbon debris. They still have more on them than I'd like, but another can of oven cleaner should take care of that.

Clean Oven

Assembled and clean. It's a really nice oven, and a shame to ruin it for cooking purposes. Especially since I'd like to some day be able to start a business by selling baked products... Oh, well.
