Comparison

Just look how much material was worn off of the wire wheel! On the left is the one I'd been using for previous four nights. On the right is the one I bought today...

Front Shot

Here is the complete front. De-paintified! Yay!

Bottom View

And here is the bottom half of the front. Almost ready for coating!

Inside

Looking inside the car from the rear window. You can see the floor is done (note the cross-member has been left simply scuffed). I've decided, after reading the POR literture a little more, that I don't need to take EVERYTHING down to bare metal, just the rusty parts. Scuffing the sections that are not rusted will serve just as well, and will take primer and then the coating just fine.

Closer Inside

It's amazing, looking at these pictures, and realizing that this small amount of bare metal has taken something like 17 man-hours of grinding! However, treating the inside with paint stripper last night definitely sped up the process!

Boot

Just look at that boot area. Doesn't look like a lot of work, but getting into that tight space around the rotisserie beam is quite back-breaking. Add to that the fact that the black you see is a thin layer of tar, and all of a sudden you realize that you can kill several hours prepping this area alone...
